Candle Care
Cotton Wick Candle Care:
- When you light your candle for the first time, allow one hour of burn time, or burn until a there is a complete melt pool formed to the edge.
- Trim candlewicks to ¼ inch each time before burning. A wick trimmer works great for this, but scissors will do fine. Make sure to remove any used wick particles from the surface.
- Keep the wax pool clear of all wick trimmings and debris.
- Avoid burning your candle near drafts (fans, breezes, etc).
- Please avoid displaying or storing your soy wax candle in direct sunlight. Soy wax is a natural product, and variations in color (from white to yellow) may occur.
- Safety first:
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Never burn a candle near anything that can catch fire.
- Keep your candles out of reach from children and pets.
- Burn your candle on a heat-resistant surface.
- Keep out of drafts.
- Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Do not move the candle when it is hot or while burning.
- Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface.
- Stop use when only 1/4 inch of wax remains.
Wooden Wick Candle Care:
- The first time you burn your candle, allow the wax to melt to the edges of the container. This trains your candle to prevent tunneling.
-
Trim the wooden wick every time to 3/16" to remove charred pieces. A wick trimmer works great for this, but scissors will do fine.
- Keep the wax pool clear of all wick trimmings and debris.
- Light the wooden wick from the bottom closest to the wax.
- If you experience a "low flame" or your candle burns out, relight it from the bottom of the wick, closest to the wax.
- Avoid burning your candle near drafts (fans, breezes, etc).
- Please avoid displaying or storing your soy wax candle in direct sunlight. Soy wax is a natural product, and variations in color (from white to yellow) may occur.
